Det har nylig innruffet flere bombeeksplosjoner i Trang, Hua Hin, Phuket, Surat Thani, og Phang Nga i de sørlige delene av Thailand. Det er også rapportert om brannstiftinger bl.a. i Nakhon Si Thammarat og Krabi. Myndighetene synes å legge til grunn at dette er koordinerte aksjoner. Hittil er ingen nordmenn i Thailand meldt å være rammet. Det eksisterer trolig en forbindelse til den pågående.

Norway will host the sixth World Congress Against the Death Penalty in Oslo 21-23 June 2016. The Congress will attract 1300 participants from over 80 countries, including ministers, parliamentarians, academics, lawyers, and members of civil society.
